The amount of light coming through our glass products is controlled by applying an acid etching to one or more surfaces of the glass. We offer several combinations of translucency with glass from fully transparent to fully opaque. Our acid etch finish can be combined with glass in our pure low iron, cool and warm ones or our beautiful color interlayers.
If you are looking for glass that has a reflective nature, we offer several solutions to control the amount of light that is reflected with several intensities of etching available on the glass surface. Our shimmer glass has an elegant etched matte surface and a reflective backer. It can be laminated with cool or warm glass and combined with many of our decorative interlayers to create a range of sophisticated looks.
The etched front softens the look of the glass and the reflective backer gives incredible depth and sophistication to vertical surfaces, giving the color a unique glow that picks up surrounding reflections and colors. Designers can control the amount of light that is reflected off the shimmer with several intensities of etching available on the glass surface.
