Located within New York City's Hudson Yards development, Equinox Hotel was designed to deliver a hospitality experience centered around wellness, performance, and elevated luxury. When the project team sought a solution that could seamlessly divide spaces while maintaining openness and sophistication, CARVART was selected not only for its architectural glass expertise, but also for its ability to engineer and fabricate highly customized solutions that integrate multiple materials into a cohesive design vision.
At the heart of the project is CARVART's framed glassFOLDWALL system, designed to create elegant and flexible spatial separation throughout the hotel environment. The installation features extra large ribbed glass panels combined with a bronze mesh interlayer and custom bronze hardware, creating a rich material composition that complements the warm palette and refined architectural detailing found throughout the property. When opened, the system allows spaces to expand and connect seamlessly. When closed, it establishes distinct environments without sacrificing transparency or natural light. Additional scope included custom glass railings and architectural wall cladding solutions that further reinforce the project's sophisticated design language.
By combining architectural glass, custom metal fabrication, and precision engineering, CARVART delivered a solution that balances flexibility with luxury.
