Immersive Design Through Architectural Glass
Located in Midtown Manhattan, SPYSCAPE redefines the traditional museum experience through a highly interactive environment focused on espionage, intelligence, and discovery. Designed to immerse visitors in a series of dynamic experiences, the project required architectural solutions that could blur the line between exhibit design and the built environment. CARVART partnered with the project team to engineer and deliver custom glass systems that support both the functional and experiential goals of this one of a kind destination.
Throughout the museum, CARVART provided a range of custom architectural glass applications including glass stairways, glass railings, slim frame glass walls, and a custom glass elevator enclosure. Many of these installations were incorporated directly into exhibit environments, including mock interrogation rooms and interactive attraction spaces where transparency, reflection, and visual layering play an important role in the visitor experience. A defining element of the project is the extensive use of CARVART's COVERTglass, selected for its unique transparent reflective qualities that create shifting visual effects throughout the exhibits while enhancing the museum's immersive storytelling approach.
By combining custom engineering, specialty glass technologies, and precision fabrication, CARVART helped transform architectural elements into active components of the visitor experience. The result is an environment where glass becomes more than a building material, contributing to the mystery, interaction, and visual intrigue that define the SPYSCAPE experience.
