As one of the largest airport redevelopment projects in the United States, Newark Liberty International Airport Terminal A demanded architectural solutions that could perform at an exceptional level while contributing to a seamless passenger experience. CARVART partnered with the project team to deliver a broad range of custom architectural glass, metal, and specialty systems throughout public spaces, premium lounges, security checkpoints, and passenger amenities. From concept through engineering, manufacturing, and installation, CARVART provided turnkey solutions designed to meet the unique operational and aesthetic requirements of a world class transportation hub.
Throughout Terminal A, CARVART's work spans a diverse collection of environments and applications. Custom freestanding security walls, modular TSA checkpoint kiosks, premium check in lounge enclosures, decorative railing systems, and large format architectural glass installations help define circulation and create moments of transparency throughout the terminal. One of the project's most distinctive features includes a collection of themed restroom environments celebrating the culture, geography, and identity of New Jersey through custom graphics, decorative glass, printed veneers, and integrated architectural detailing. Each installation was engineered to withstand the demands of a high traffic public environment while maintaining a refined and engaging visual experience.
