Flexibility, Acoustics, and Collaboration in the Workplace
When Gensler set out to create its new La Crosse office, the design team sought a solution that would support flexibility, collaboration, and acoustic performance without compromising the open and inviting character of the workplace. CARVART was engaged to develop a custom operable glass system capable of dividing key spaces while maintaining transparency and visual connection throughout the office environment. Working within an accelerated project schedule, CARVART delivered a solution that met both the design vision and construction timeline.
At the center of the project is CARVART's frameless glassSTACKWALL system, installed as a flexible partition between the workplace and cafeteria. Designed to provide seamless operation and clean sightlines, the system allows the space to easily transition between open collaborative environments and acoustically separated functions. The frameless design preserves natural light and openness while providing the performance required to support a dynamic workplace setting. Careful coordination of materials, engineering, and fabrication ensured the system integrated seamlessly into the overall architectural design.
The completed installation quickly became a defining feature of the new office, delivering both aesthetic and functional value to the space. By combining transparency, flexibility, and acoustic control, CARVART helped create a workplace environment that supports collaboration while adapting to the evolving needs of the organization. The result is a sophisticated architectural solution that demonstrates how operable glass systems can enhance both workplace performance and user experience.
